I had this same issue and finally figured it out after much trial and error. I know this is and old post, but I came across it when searching for a solution so I am replying with the solution that worked for me, hopefully it will help someone. Basically I had to connect the phone to a PC with ActiveSync, then copy the file gd_iis_intermediates.p7b to the phone and install the certificate. I wrote a full set of instructions here: http://www.confighelper.com/2009/12/smartphone-unable-to-sync-with-exchange.html

I just got my dash and I followed the instructions on how to sync it to my
exchange server but I keep getting the following error
Result
The security certificarte on the server is invalid
Contact your exchange Server administrator or ISP to install a valid
certificate on the server
support code 0x80072F0
What can I do to solve this problem
Thanx in advance
